The CRM Academy

Introduction

The CRM Academy is designed to train working Cultural Resource Management professionals in the skills needed for a successful CRM career. To accommodate working professionals, each program focuses on a single skill, they are short and intensive (5 days or less) and affordable. Some programs are taught in person, others online. CRM professionals may take as many programs as they wish, in whatever order they want.

Cutting Edge & Traditional Skills

Our training has strong emphasis on new & emerging technologies – such as AI, Drones and R/Paython. We also offer programs for traditional skills necessary for the effective management of successful CRM operations – such as Proposal Writing, HR & Accounting, and Stakeholder Inclusion.

Emerging Technologies in CRM

CRM archaeology is changing rapidly. New technology – both software and robots – are rapidly impacting work in the field and at the office. The CRM Academy enables professionals to remain on the cutting edge of these changes, increasing productivity and advancing within the profession with necessary skills without taking long breaks or paying high cost of tuition to study for an advanced academic degree.

Badges or Credits

Participants may elect to earn Northern Arizona University Badges, University of Colorado at Boulder Microcredit, or 2 Semester Credit through our School of Record (Culver Stockton College).

Academy Director

The CRM Academy is directed by Dr. Kayeleigh Sharp and managed by the Anthropocene Research Center. We are constantly updating our programs so we, and you, can stay on top of innovations and best practices in the sector.

Certifications

Our programs are approved as formal continued education by the Registrar of Professional Archaeologists (RPA), American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA), and the Society for American Archaeologists (SAA).
